Information and Care of Jewellery:
All jewellery is designed to be worn whilst bathing and during exercise and sleep. Our manufacturers pride themselves on producing the highest quality custom jewellery using ethically and responsibly-sourced Australian precious metals.
Like all jewellery, your jewellery will require some simple maintenance, love and care so a polishing cloth is provided to help you care for your purchase. Avoid contact with chemicals, seawater and chlorine to keep your jewellery looking brand new for as long as possible.

Gold Plating – Do not spray perfume directly onto your necklace as this can tarnish gold plating very quickly – pull the pendant away and cover it with your hand to spray perfume onto your neck.
For Gold Filled jewellery, these can be worn long-term, with the lifespan of your piece dependant on external factors like perfumes and synthetic chemicals used on your skin, your skins natural pH and whether your piece is removed for swimming and bathing. Gold filled jewellery is the closest alternative to solid gold, with 20x the gold content of Gold Vermeil / Plating – Two sheets of solid gold are pressure-bonded to create a keepsake piece that will look and wear just like solid gold through exercise, bathing and sleeping.
Solid gold pieces can be worn permanently in all settings.
Gold-Filled Jewellery: Gold-filled jewellery is made by permanently bonding two layers of gold onto a base metal (usually brass) using heat and pressure. The gold in gold-filled jewellery is 20 times thicker than in gold vermeil/plated jewellery, making it significantly more durable and longer lasting.
Gold Vermeil Jewellery: Gold vermeil jewellery consists of a sterling silver base that is plated with a microscopic layer of gold. The gold layer in vermeil jewellery is usually at least 10 karats and 2.5 microns (0.002mm) thick.
Durability:
Gold-Filled Jewellery: Because of its thick layers of gold, gold-filled jewellery is significantly more durable and resistant to tarnishing and wear compared to gold-plated or vermeil jewellery. It can last for many years with proper care.
Gold Vermeil Jewellery: While gold vermeil jewellery offers a thicker layer of gold compared to most plated jewellery, it is still not as durable as gold-filled jewellery, since the underlying sterling silver base will inevitably tarnish over time
